Kernow lodge near St Minver was a run down house that was due a restoration.

We extended the main property with a two-storey rear extension; this added a large kitchen & family area complete with huge custom-made bi-fold doors.
On the first floor we added a large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

The main house was then completely renovated; this consisted of enlarging rooms, creating en-suite bathrooms that were secretly hidden behind walls of built-in-wardrobes & a large family bathroom.

We installed a beautiful custom oak staircase in the hall and laid large porcelain & natural slate tiles throughout the ground floor.

The outside of the house was fully rendered with feature quoins.  A lead formed arch was added to the roof, a No.10 Downing street styled front door, complete with fibreglass mouldings & pillars to create the Mock Georgian appearance.

We then constructed a large 1-bedroom annex adjoined to the rear of the property. This is effectively a self-contained unit called the Atelier. It was designed using 3 large feature granite piers to hold the roof.  In between these piers we fitted large custom windows & wooden bi-fold doors complete with a matching feature gable window looking up the garden.  As a feature focal point of the room a huge Scandinavian stainless log burner with granite hearth was installed.

Finally a large double garage was constructed incorporating an office or gym in the loft space.

Outside the front drive was brick paved, while the rear of the property was landscaped with local stone retaining walls, Indian sandstone paving slabs & a decking area complete with timber pergola.
